Free Eye Camp
Free eye camp is a part of community ophthalmology, in which services regarding the eye problems of poor and needy people are provided at their door step. As we all know majority of our population is living in the rural and far-flung Areas. Their living standard is below the poverty line. So the different eye diseases including cataract is mush more common in this population.
An Ideal Eye camp Should Include The Following;

OPD (Out Patient Department for Screening)
Screening of patients for following diseases:
Cataract
Glaucoma
Refractive Disorder
Ocular Surface Disorder
Any other
Pre Operative Assessment
Roll out of diabetics mellitus, hypertension, hepatitis’s B & C
Complete eye examination
Control of ocular infection
Pre operative medication
Biometry
Adequate washing of patient face and his general cleanness
Pre Operative Measures
Complete cartelization of operation thither and to insure all aseptic measures
Adequate anesthesia and analgesia
All surgery done under good micro scope
Use of good quality micro surgical instruments
Use of good quality disposable items
Use of good quality IOL to every patient
Post Operative Measures
Preferably patient should stay for a over night in the premises of eye camp
Use of good post operative medicine
Change of medicine in first post operative day
Use of good quality eye drop
Use of dark glasses
Frequently ask questions to be explained preferably to ever post operatively
Follow-Up
Day Zero is first post operative day ( This is a first follow up)
Day seven is the second follow up day in which eye drops are provided to patient
Day 28 is third follow up day, Medicine are purchased by the patient
Day 56 is forth follow up day in which stitches are removed
Day 70 is fifth follow up day for refraction

Contribution For free Eye camp
Community Development Organization is arranged free eye camp for deserving and needy patients in the rural and far-flung area. CDO has developed an eye mobile unit which includes following facilities for free eye camps:1- Well trained and qualified team of eye surgeons
2- Well trained paramedics
3- A well equipped mobile operation theater and latest micro scopes, biometry, auto refractor meter and fine micro surgical instruments.
4- A Suzuki Bolan vehicle for transportation of equipment and staff.
CDO is extremely interested in help to the deserving and needy people for their complete eye treatment starts from OPD to successful operations and its follow up of post operative surgery with limited resources. Now they wish to expand its welfare among needy and resource less patients through the help of private and public sectors to donate and participate in such a blessed and welfare activities. You can contribute your amount on following ways.
1- Contribution for free eye camp more than equal to 100 patients Rs 3,000/- per patient
2- Contribution for free eye camp 51 to 99 patients Rs 4,000/- per patient
3- Contribution for free eye camp below 50 Rs 5,000/- per patient
Note:
Screening of patients expenses are included in above mentioned charges. Boarding and lodging expense for the staff and doctors will be borne by the facilitator
